It's been a busy winter at Anderson Travel and we are now looking forward to Spring in the Northwest!
Marti enjoyed a fall trip to Europe and has updates on travels to Paris and AMAWaterways Cruises she would love to share with you.
Peter, Terry, and Anita have all traveled to Mexico recently. They will share updates on Cancun, the Mayan Riviera, and Cabo.
Terry was also a guest of the Oahu Visitors Association for a week activities all over that island. She came back with loads of ideas for new and unique activities.
In Feb. Marti was a guest of Cook Islands Tourism for a week to Raratonga and a day trip to the island of Aitutaki. The Cook Islands are made up of 15 islands, everyone surrounded by white sand beaches, and crystal clear waters, and coral reefs perfect for snorkeling. Life is as quiet and laid back as the Hawaiian Islands 50 years ago. There is a great variety of small hotels from clean and basic to 5 star luxury. 1 road circles 20 miles around the entire island of Roratonga, with only 2 bus routes - clockwise, and anti-clockwise! Or rent a scooter for the day - or week. Beachside restaurants cuisine will delight the pickiest foodie, and if you call for a reservation most owners personally will pick you up and return you to your hotel.
Join us for an "Evening DownUnder" at the Gig Harbor History Museum April 20th, 600p - 800p. Our guest speaker is Jeff Adams, a charming Aussie, who will enlighten us with tales and travel tips for Australia, New Zealand and The Cooks. There will be "light bites" and wine to start the evening and plenty of time for questions and answers.
River Cruising continues to be the most popular, fastest growing travel experience. Recently Scenic Cruises joined the "Big 3" Viking River, AmaWaterways, and Uniworld giving travelers more options and more availability. All lines are now offering some very exciting itineraries and early booking incentives for 2017 now, as well as 2016. Our agents will be able to match you up with the option that best suits you.
Some ships are now offering triple cabins, waiving single supplements, and free or reduced airfare. We have group space, or would love to help you put together your own group - couples, family celebrations, whatever you imagine, we can help you with it. And you only need 5 cabins to qualify!
Check out our specials section. We continually update specials and group discounts for a variety of travel options. I guarantee you will find something to spark your wanderlust!
